There’s always something chaotic that has been a part of the

ocean and how calming it makes you feel. With the wind breeze in

your face and the sound of waves passing through your thoughts.

The Zen series is a representation of how the ocean makes you

feel. A place of escape from all the worries and doubts, a place to

recollect thoughts for the better. Being at peace with one’s

circumstances even when you can’t change a thing.

Completed on a 40x20cm plywood, this piece mainly consists of

jade green and blue lagoon hues with hints of silver leaf.

Personally, this series was a challenge as it was a color scheme

that usually isn’t approached due to its hues. However, it turned

out so well.
