Inspired by the vast cosmos, The Black Galaxy series Is a representation of how

unique we all are. The capabilities, possibilities, strengths, and power we all

have within ourselves. To be existing and to be as unique amongst the trillions

of stars and galaxies. The colors, textures, and unique patterns represent who

you are and what you can become. The possibilities are limitless.

Completed on a 40x20cm plywood, this piece mainly consists of black, Dark

jade green, midnight blue, sky blue, and shades of purple with hints of gold

paint and silver leaf.

In order to create the unique patterns on each piece a modeling paste layer

was added. With several layering taking place, this series was a combination of

4+ layers in order to capture the deep galaxy effect.

The true magic of this piece awakens when exposed to sunlight, showing the

tiniest of color and detail that has been layered through the paint.
